LANEWAY GARDENING WORKSHOP

Want to start a laneway garden? Join Cr Matthew Thomson and Cr Sylvie Ellsmore to take the first step!

Because of their work on Council, soon it will be much easier to start a community garden or green your laneways all across the City. Now they want to help you take that first step.

That’s why they are hosting a workshop on Saturday 10 October, 10-11am, at the Darlington Activity Centre, to discuss how you can create laneway gardens, hear stories of success from other groups and find out what support and resources the City can provide.

Gardening isn’t just a fun pastime, these laneway gardens help improve air quality, build community connection, make our streets cooler and are even shown to reduce illegal dumping.
