ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY

We would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians and knowledge holders of the land, The Gadigal of the Eora Nation, and thank them for their ongoing commitment and care for the Country that we live and work on. We would also like to extend our acknowledgement to Elders past, present, and emerging. We feel very honoured to be within such a treasured part of the world, and therefore strive to build a stronger connection with our surroundings.
Australia always has and always will be, Aboriginal Land.

Your say on THE CITY OF SYDNEY’s new environmental strategy

The City of Sydney‘s environmental strategy 2025-2030 sets targets for its own operations and the local area to reduce our carbon footprint, improve water health and increase sustainable use of resources.

The revised plan will

  • help our communities rely less on fossil fuels and transition away from gas.
  • strengthen support for renters to adapt to climate impacts.
  • reduce our operational energy use and emissions
  • explore ways to regenerate our environment.

The City now invites your feedback on the final draft of the strategy.

PUBLIC CONSULTATION closes at 5pm on Friday 9 May
